Welcome to Restaurant Zlatý Kohout
The history of the restaurant dates back to the 1930s, when the hotel was built according to the project of Pavel Zeh by hotelier Franz Fiedler. Not many records from this period have survived. What is certain is that after a long period of stagnation during the Depression and especially during the Second World War, the hotel came to life during the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1980s the popular snack bar Zlatý kohout (Golden Rooster) was located in the area of the present restaurant. In 2015, the hotel and the restaurant took on their current form. It was given a timeless design look by prestigious architects Vrtiška and Žák.
Our restaurant is known for its fine dining concept, which is using high quality ingredients from local farmers, sophisticated food presentation and excellent flavour combinations. Each dish is prepared with precision and care by Chef Jakub Ruman, an excellent and experienced chef. With your meal, we will recommend a selection of our wines from major European regions.
One of the unique elements of the restaurant is the open kitchen, which allows guests to watch the chef and his team prepare the dishes. This creates an interactive and fun atmosphere that adds another dimension to the unique and unforgettable guest dining experience.
The Zlatý kohout restaurant is perfect for special events, corporate parties, team building activities or weddings. In addition to the restaurant premises, there are two lounges and a congress hall.
The restaurant has a spacious children's corner and parking right in front of the restaurant.
