Dear Guests,

Strawberries have long been considered a royal fruit and a symbol of love due to their exquisite flavour. They were known as early as ancient Rome but only became widely consumed in the late Middle Ages, when they were mostly cultivated by monks. Today’s garden strawberries are a result of crossbreeding several wild species thanks to Louis XV’s royal gardener. In our region, they became more widespread in the 19th century, especially in Central Bohemia. Today, they are an essential part of summer – and it is their taste that inspired us to create this fresh seasonal menu.
